Nike once again demonstrates that it is possible to manufacture futuristic products. At the same time, they do their bit to protect the environment. It has done so with the Nike ISPA Overreact Flyknit. These are the new shoes in the ISPA line (Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, Adapt).
These new ISPA Link shoes reinforce the most avant-garde range in the Nike catalog. ISPA was launched in 2018. It is a design philosophy that the Swoosh company has used to rework both old and new, standards. These standards were taken into account when designing the Nike ISPA Overreact (ISPA Link).
Nike’s focus is on disassembly
In addition to its futuristic style, the Nike ISPA Link like the Nike ISPA Overreact Flyknit is a model designed from the ground up with the aim of forever changing the process of manufacturing and recycling sports shoes. These are shoes built to be disassembled and planet-friendly.
Although many of the main sneaker companies are betting on products with recycled materials, the true focus of Nike with the ISPA Link is not that, but the disassembly.
The ability to easily disassemble a product to recycle its contents was one of the most difficult principles to apply in shoe design. On this Nike ISPA Overreact model, just like in other products; like the Nike lunch box, Nike presumes that “a good shoe is flexible and durable.”
Creating a piece of athletic-focused equipment (shoe) that can be disassembled reduces the carbon footprint of the product. In the case of the Nike ISPA Link, they are manufactured without the use of glue. These shoes are made up of three different modules that are joined without the need to use any industrial rubber.

Nike ISPA OverReact Flyknit -Crimson Volt
The OverReact took comfort to the edge, then went over that edge. This half-sneaker, the half-moccasin hybrid was stripped out of anything that could get in the way of your foot with the React Foam technology. Geometry was put to work. Careful designing of the form of the shoe to fit together with the materials was painstakingly observed. The result is a giant and protective hug for your foot.
In true scavenger fashion, the Nike ISPA OverReact Flyknit was created using excess yarn that was being sent to the landfill. The result is a shoe that features “reused” knit patterns from other footwear designs. It, however, still gives you the comfort and stability you need.
The design has no lace and is coupled with a hook-and-loop closure for easy on and off. When the shoe is fastened, it gives you a secure feel, like a tight but gentle hug for your foot.
