Tyler Ritter is an American film and television actor. The son of the late actor John Ritter and the younger brother of actors Jason Ritter and Carly Ritter , Tyler is best known for playing Ronny McCarthy on The McCarthys , Detective Billy Malone on Arrow , and Lane on Homecoming .

Born on January 31, 1985, as Tyler David Ritter , in Los Angeles, California, he is the youngest of three children of actors. John Ritter and Nancy Morgan .

Born into a family of artists, Tyler Ritter was born into a family of eminent artists. His grandfather, Tex Ritter , was a popular country music singer and actor from the 1930s through the 1960s. His grandmother, Dorothy Fay , was an actress in the 1930s and 1940s.

Tyler Ritter Career

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007, Tyler Ritter worked for three years as a teacher in Argentina, where he married director Lelia Parma. He returned to Los Angeles and began his acting career at the age of 25. 

He has had roles in Grey’s Anatomy and Modern Family. In 2014 he landed the leading role in the comedy The McCarthys, playing Ronny McCarthy, the openly gay son in a family of six.

On June 28, it was revealed that Tyler Ritter was cast as recurring Detective Billy Malone during the fifth season of Arrow.

In 2015, Tyler Ritter was cast on NCIS as Abby Sciuto’s brother Luca, appearing in both an episode of NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans.

In 2016, he played two recurring roles. He was cast in the role of Adam in the fourth season of the Freeform sitcom Young and Hungry.

In 2020, she had a guest appearance in an Amazon Original series, Homecoming, directed by Julia Roberts.

Tyler Ritter married Argentine film director Lelia Parma in 2007, and In 2017, they welcomed their first child, a son named Benjamin Parma Ritter.
